The Story
It was a holiday trip of peace and quiet on the Greek Island of Hydra, something he desperately needed. With the crystalline sea protecting this paradisiacal white island of simplistic beauty, it was his sanctuary. The warm air, bright sun and little beach being his only companions for a few weeks of reflection and relaxation. As he walked down the narrow stone steps of his garden, only metres from the beach, he gazed at the splendour of the sea as the sun, slowly setting, created a glorious burst of orange colour in the sky. He was accompanied only by the rhythmic sound of the waves gently breaking on the golden sand and the sweet heady scent of jasmine flowers and hyacinths growing in pots in his garden completing this moment of idyllic bliss. Sipping his refreshing watermelon juice, adorned with fresh mint leaves from his garden, he thought how life was good. Hydra his peace and tranquillity.
